Yes. An RCA remote is an excellent replacement for basic functions (Power, Volume, Channels, Input). If your original Insignia remote is not working, you can try resetting it (remove batteries, hold a button for 20 seconds, re-insert batteries), but using an RCA remote is often a simpler, more reliable solution.
